Why do you think that?Rap Weasel wrote:KG...next year he will be a just above average player in the league.
His numbers are only down slightly from last year, but that's because the coaching and players around him have been completely overhauled. He's had some knee issues since last year but they don't prevent him from rising WAY above people when he shoots. His shot, by the way, has become Jordanesque. He's got a killer %, he rarely--if ever--has poor shot selection, and he can hit from anywhere on the floor. The only reason he's not scoring 30 points per game is because he gets 11 rebounds and 5 assists every night while playing conservative minutes. He's one of the smartest and most passionate players in the league. Even if his skills deteriorate and he can't jump more than a few inches while only managing 35 minutes per game he'll still make the double-double look easy. He'll be a top ten player until he's damn near 40.
He made his teamates look GOOD while scoring 24 points on over 50% shooting, getting 16 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, and a block in under 40 minutes.
In the last 4 years KG has averaged:
23 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, 1.5 steals, over 50% shooting in under 40 minutes/game.
