Evolver Appreciation Thread

I don't wanna hear any bitchin about it, this album rocks. i was just listening to Crack The Code and it just flows so well and Still Dreamings on now and it just rocks. this cd is dope and i'm mad bored. They gotta play Still Dreaming live more.

I was fortunate enough to see them play Still Dreaming in Tampa this past tour.....it was amazing. As far as Evolver, definitely an under appreciated album......it's not 311's best work but it's still a solid album.....one of my favorite cd's to listen to while on road trips or just cruisin' around.

My favorite 311 album.

A bit offtopic but if only Transistor had pure space rock songs like Inner Light Spectrum throughout the album it would easily be their best.

Still Dreaming, Dont Dwel, Crack the Code, the whole album rocks, I heard Still Dreaming in Atlanta this summer for the first time ever and it was better live. Way better. Beyond the gray sky, Jacks, Creatures, its all great. It took me a while to warm up to it and like it.

Yea, I agree. I like it more with time. Maybe DTOM will have the same effect.

I loved evolver, never understood all the hate towards it really

Now DTOM I can understand... I mean I still like it but its pretty much 311's first album I haven't absolutely loved 100% percent.

I liked Evolver. Creatures is great, crack the code is fun, Still Dreaming has a cool intro noise, and sometimes Jack's is pretty good. The rest I don't particularly care for. Not saying it's bad, just bland. Uncreative. I love the lyrics to Reconsider everything but Nick's singing is so uninspired I'm embarassed to play it. And Tim's riff is over-used before the end of the first verse.

I didnt know where else to post this, but jeez you think the band would release some unreleased shit or something small just to keep fans excited...I've never seen so little actitivty on a band's board and such lack of band updates ever in my life lol. Release a new sick b-side or something cause they're always freakin great!! Keep us goin
