Summer '07 Tour News (4/05/07)

BREAKING NEWS.....

311 SUMMER UNITY TOUR is confirmed!!!
LATE JUNE - LATE AUGUST.
With special guest MATISYAHU (and another act soon to be announced).
More info coming soon!!

A new Happenings page with full tour details and an announcment of the 3-11 Day Contest Winners will be uploaded soon at 311.com (hopefully by late next week, when we have more tour information).

With this annoucement, we just wanted to let you know the Summer Unity Tour soon returns!!
311 & Matisyahu!! A summer celebration not to be missed!!

A number of tour details are still being wrapped up at this time, so please be patient for dates, cities and venues. It's all in the works!!

Alert: Kansas City (6/29 Westport Amphitheatre) and Omaha (7/1 Westfair Amphitheatre) are going on sale first. The Pre-Sale looks to be next Thursday, April 12 at 311.com. The Tour Dates page at 311.com will be updated as soon as details are fully known. (we expect most other shows to go on sale later in April or May).

So keep on your toes and stay tuned.

Ive known about it since March, but I wasnt suppossed to say anything, the boys hit the road June 26th.

Im sorry, I am a man of my word and I wasn't going to let out something that I was told to keep quiet about. I actually found out in January that there was going to be a summer tour, but I didnt know what the actual dates yet, but in march I found out they were leaving at the end of June.

You apparently couldn't keep quiet, could you?

Now you're going to have to deal with people bugging you about your source (Ahem, peter? Everyone talks to Peter) and then bugging him about it as well. Now everyone is gonna think they can get "in" with your "source" and as a result you're going to lose your "in" privileges.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong.

uhhh they blatantly said long ago there was gonna be a summer tour. i dont get what the hubbub is. they said LAST summer, or pnut did, that they had too much fun to not do a summer tour this summer

I wont lose my "in" privelges. I have a special understanding with my "friend" and no its not Peter. The tour has already been announced by the band, I just am not supposed to say anything until after the website posts the news. I talked to my friend when they were in the Hive mixing the 311 day show before the summer 2006 tour even started. So I already knew there was some form of a video coming out, but I didnt say anything. As Far as I know, the whole show is complete, we are just waiting for a dvd. I havent heard any new songs, I will ask about them when I talk to my friend soon, and also check up on any news about a possible dvd. I get details about everything way before it happens.

everybody who was at 311 day new there was some sort of movie coming out cuz they were fliming it, and he said something about HDNET fliming it, so thats not a big deal.

and thats cool your friends with a band member, but i don't belive it, cuz if it were true, why did you go to the meet and greet in atlanta, to meet people you already know.? that just doesnt make sense

but if it is true, thats weird, but LETS GET THE SECRETS OUT!!!

I dont make this kinda shit up Kyle. I am friends with one of the band members dumbass, my friend wanted to meet 311 more than anything in life. The meet and greet was the easiest way to get him to meet all of them all at one time, The first hook-up I got was a dvd of a Concert from Philly professionally shot from the band from the blue album tour in 96' and my roomate stole it before he moved to Virginia, damn good for nothin druggie. He denied it, but I garantee it's sitting in his apartment with all the other stuff he swiped from other people. He used to pinch my damn weed thinking I wouldnt notice. I dont have any "secrets" to tell you all, or atleast nothing that needs to be said, but I said I will ask about the dvd and the progress of any new songs/how many there will be. And dont count on me to spread demos all over the net, I wouldnt want them to begin with, and even if I had them I wouldnt leak them.

well, first things first. the name calling just has no place. you have to admit, that seems fishy, knowing somebody in a band and having to go to their meet and greet to get them all in the same room. i know if i was really friends with someone in a band, if they were really my friend, i would be backstage, in the bus, chillin, not having to go to their meet and greet to get to hang with them all. so maybe that is the easiest way, the meet and greet, them being big and all, but still, that seems fishy.

also, you are an appraiser or some sorts right? i think, real estate appraiser or something, anywho, how does an alabama real estate appraiser become friends with people who a) used to live in a totally different state and b) currently live in a state even FARTHER away. this was one of my reasons i ddint think it would be true, but i would also love the answers, just out of curiosity, since that is pretty weird, alabama not being such a vacation spot

and finally, you have every reason to lie to us about that, this being a 311 board. now im not calling you a liar, but im actually not a dumbass, dont believe everything i hear from some dude on the internet, and use my brain to connect dots, and those dots didnt connect. so apologies if its true, but ya know, only idiots believe unbelievable things without questioniog

Matisyahu's band > Matisyahu, so that'll be fun. Can't wait to see who else is opening. Hopefully someone better than Matisyahu.
