Too young to remember  My sister and brothers listened to them so I can't remember what the first song was that I heard. They played music so much around me that when I bought Music I already knew all the lyrics without knowing why

I watched the hoax videos, in order, 1 through 3. They had 311 on them.

watch them in order and you'll find the 311 song I heard first. :)

I think it was Down. Maybe All Mixed Up, but I didn't know it was 311 at the time. But that was like 8 or 9 years ago!

i had heard bits and pieces of different records. cant recall what i heard first. i went to see them in 95 without even owning a cd. so the first 311 song that i know i heard was the intro into homebrew. nick threw his hat off... yeah his hair was pink.

long story short....

lived in PA......was in to rock music 1990-91 (not into 311)

moved to charleston, sc.....lots of rap music....forgot about rock for about 4 years......1992-1995

9th grade....a friend of mine left a cd in my car one day at school called "grassroots"......all i know was that i loved the song "grassroots" and wasnt crazy about the rest....about a month later......its my favorite cd....i listen to real music again.....go out and buy all other 311 cds that were out at the time.......

fast forward to 2005....311 NUT!!!!!!

Thankyou 311!!!!!

Come Original. So sick. It came on right after Rage Against the Machine's video for "Guerilla Radio" on MTV. (What? MTV had two good music videos in a row on? Man, that WAS a long time ago...)
ride the jont piece...

First 311 song that I heard and was actually aware that it was 311 was "Come Original". Sadly, because it made #10 on the TRL countdown of that day. That song captivated me in a way that I don't think a song ever had before, and it progressed to the point of where I am now. Sad story of getting into 311 - but if I think about it, if I had never been into mainstream teenie bopper fuckin' Kid Rock and blink182 and shit, I would have never seen the Come Original video. So its coo.

mine was All Mixed Up...my stepbrother was singing it in our big old Astro van back in the day before it was on the radio. he taught me the words and from then on I was addicted.

before that, i remember seeing the video for Down on MTV and thinking "who the hell names their band 3-1-1?!" and i never actually watched the video. MAN was i stupid :-D

Mine was Homebrew, my reaction was pissing myself.
