I dig Sideways. But yeah Zack has a great voice. Nick hits notes as if he were a saxophone. Yeah agreed, vocals almost run the track though the instrumental of it is sweet. I like it but, yeah, the vocals are always a clear bell note-to-note and go from one to another but it usually doesnt sound smooth and effortless. It sounds like, really forced and it's almost too much. Just relax dude, let the song melody flow vocally.
It's like slamming the keys on a piano or playing them with touch. You could be playing the exact same song with the same notes, but one sounds Better than the other. meh
Still gonna pick up the album.
Ghostwolf was bomb! I want another GW almost more than a new 311. But, its all good. love these guys (we just criticize their music too much)

I picked the album up today. Its actually pretty good, my expectations weren't very high but I'm liking it better than I thought. Some great jams that really shine over the vocals at times, but its Nick we are talking about here. Solid effort though, I recommend everyone to get it.

listened this morning... 2nd half is better than the first. need to hear more before I make a real judgement. Its too bad Nick's voice went all dry. The driving song is cool. I like the feel of the rap section.

Overall, the instrumentals are cool, but it sounds at times a little too like norah jones or something. easy listening plastic jazz

Nicks rap on the last song ....laughable but I appreciate his effort. And Waiting in Vain was better at 311 Day, it should have stayed as a one time live cover.

Glad to hear some people picked it up.
SAD sooo soo SAD to hear "ehhh yeah the vocals sometimes... " But yeah, Nick HAS to know that he can't try that stuff sooo much when it doesnt flow naturally. There have been a LOT of stressed parts of songs lately that just...CRINGE! ie "First Straw" "Speakeasy" and sooo many more. BUT

Im gonna pick it up soon.
