Ghostwolf (SA side project) out in 2 days

fucking finally. Expectations set REALLY low for this.

I remember originally hearing about a possible SA side project and thinking, "This is gonna be badass! 311 isn't allowing him to do his rapping/turntable'ing anymore, so he's gonna rip shit up on his side project."

Then the demos came out and I realized that SA was the one responsible for his own change. All this time I was blaming the rest of the band (read as Nick).

I kinda feel bad for just assuming it was nick and the rest of the band for Sa's change too.
I liked what i heard.
Sa's "singing" has grown on me allot lately (still hate DTOM).

Could this mean that SA will get his singing urges out on this album and go back to rapping for 311?
I know, i can dream big right?

I must be lost...but why "Ghostwolf"? sounds borderline rediculous. Why didn't they just call themselves, "By the power of Greyskull" or "Steel Fist Dragon" or maybe "Crushing golden wind rampage"...Ya know?

I don't like this as all. The only thing I can imagine that would be worse would be a Nick Hexum solo album. I do wish there was more of his sound from the blue album on this.

i listened to it, well the first like 6 songs anyway. i didnt hate it. but then again, i like electro acoustic and also, i'm pretty easy to please when it comes to music. i didn't really listen to the music as much as i was trying to read while i listened, but as far as the music goes, it wasnt too bad. if the lyrics are any cheesier than waiting, i'm glad that i didn't pay too much attention.

I enjoyed it and SA has a great voice that isn't utilized enough by 311. I realize it's a bit on the soft side and I enjoyed it anyway. My guess is if it was from any other artist, I wouldn't have bothered to give it a run through.

holy fuck i agree with something smoke said. i liked the electro aspect to it as well. it wasnt horrible by any means. it wasn't great either. a solid side project effort by sa imo
