Pow-Wow Trailer
311 fans are total d-bags. I'm glad I didn't go to the Pow Wow if it was filled with people like this.

(the only cool part about the video is that Running is bg song)

Re: Pow-Wow Trailer
The people in that vid were pretty mellow. Not really sure what you two are going on about.
Everyone at pow wow was great. If anything it was mostly hippie kids, festival peeps, stoners, and other positive and excited people. Even the peoople who did look like bros were all nice and cool. There was an awesome feelng of community there. I can't wait to go to next year's.

As a fraternity member I would just like to state that I didn't see one person in that video who could be considered a frat boy at any decent southern school.fatlip wrote:seriously mega douche chills... looks like a frat boy version of The Gathering
No respectable fraternity is full of guys with dreads/tattoos/tank top shirts etc.
If you want to call frat guys douches, then that's fine, but these people are not fraternity members.
On an unrelated note, I didn't know there was going to be a movie/video for this. Here's hoping it's not on blu-ray and doesn't feature surround sound like a certain other 311 video

Re: Pow-Wow Trailer
I wasn't really sure what this a trailer for. Are they coming out with a Pow Wow video? Nick tweeted this today, but didn't say anything specific. It would be awesome to have a live transistor cd/dvd.

word. Fatlip's just an elitist vegan straightedge kid that grew up in his mom's basement til he was 30 so he has a very narrowminded view of the world.flyersfan900 wrote: I didn't see one person in that video who could be considered a frat boy at any decent southern school.

I will admit there were a few rednecks mixed in due to the fact that it was in Florida, but they were all nice people at least.

how could someone who went to a 311 pow wow make fun of another individual.Jordan311 wrote:word. Re: Pow-Wow Trailer
from what I have seen, you clearly do not have to be rich to attend these things. I had no idea, ICP fans were so wealthy. And are we really comparing wallets? Are we really calling out poor people on taiyedbrodels? If anything it's the lack of "fanboy" attitude to spend money on a 311 festival that is showcased by 90s bands. I was talking to these people at the recent neon indian show I attended, and they were telling me about the experience they had at the pitchfork festival, and all of the awesome acts they saw. I was going to explain how I almost attended a 311 festival, but I didn't want to look like a complete idiot. I mean imagine telling people you actually traveled across the country to visit a 311 festival. LOLJordan311 wrote:Sam was too poor to go. He couldn't afford it. Oh wait, fatlip too. Re: Pow-Wow Trailer
how am i an elitist*? do you even know what the word means? i'm still only 27. i'm not vegan. "straightedge" is only used for convenience. not a kid.
all those things you described me as are, not only inaccurate, but make you the elitist; especially pointing out how i couldn't afford to go
...and narrow minded? lol
if you're gonna troll, at least make sense.
try harder.

I'm glad you didn't go either. It would have been too miserable for you and those others in this thread with first world problems that are hating on it.
I'm pretty certain that most people there were just having a good time, I saw no fights break out, NONE. Everybody was getting along, nobody was being shitty to anybody else. The only complaint was the heat and frankly, it wasn't nothing that couldn't be dealt with.
I'm not putting it above a 311day, or a cruise. I'm just saying it was great and it sucks to see people making conclusions based on a video produced several months later.
Flame on.

Re: Pow-Wow Trailer
i think the idea is to get people excited for next year.
pow wow was a great time. 311 played great. These are the kinds of people at most music festivals. I'd be more embarrassed about traveling to see animal collective than 311. I think the idea was to throw a 90's band festival-to bring together bands that sort of had a scene in the mid 90's. It can be a very successful festival if they push it further. Get NOFX, Fishbone, The Urge, Bad Brains, with some more recently notable bands like Gogol Bordello and Against Me - Matisyahu and Dub Trio - get an elder reggaeband like steel pulse. Make it the adult 2012 warped tour. Punk Hip Hop and Reggae. There is an audience for it, and no one else is trying anything like that.
Plenty of us clinging to our 20's who don't like the hipster ladyboy jamz

Re: Pow-Wow Trailer
Not 1, but 2 d-bags that had the 311 logo shaved in their hair. Those guys are in the same category as the guy who brings the "Play Champagne" sign. Also, the dude that has "stay positive and love your life" arm tatts. What a sheep. A Nick sheep at that. I'm sorry, that's not a profound enough quote or statement that I think deserved to be inked. If that's your Mantra...you might be a d-bag. That guy probably sheds a tear when 311 plays "Beyond the Gray Sky"
Also, good "first world problems" jab.

I think some of you are prime examples of douchebags. But like most d-Baggins you don't even realize it.
