like to turn over the mic to my mentor sa martinez.. lets discuss just how ridiculous this sounds... how can someone with a thousand times less musical talent be your mentor.

that must be on an older version of the song, not the Music version anyway. and it wouldn't suprise me if S.A. did help Nick develop is M.C. skills because S.A. used to be able to roc the mic like a muthafucka

he was his RAP mentor, nothing about guitar and writing music. also, SA can sing better, have you heard nick try to sing the beginning DLMD from last tour? IM me ill send it to you or its probably on archive its from the boulder show,. its atrocious, unlistenable. now, what his voice used to sound like vs. SA is all personal opinion, sometimes i prefer nick, sometimes SA, depends on the song. but NOW, SA pretty much always

however, examples of SA > nick
taiyed, first verse of nutsympton, both raps in sever, lucky, guns, OMFG salsa nigga, i can keep goin forever. dont get me wrong, i like nick too, but SA more

about the only examples of nick > SA i can relaly think of right now are Nick's raps in Hydroponic and Hive

Listen to Hive - the album version - you will see that SA's raps are alot more faster and harder than Nick's - try and read the lyrics as you listen to the song while SA raps - Its like the old school commercials with that micro-machines guy... Its unbelievable

Oh and for those people here who think Nick is a better singer than SA? Try letting Nick sing all of SA's parts plus his as well, then let SA sing ALL of 311's songs, who's gonna sound better?
