Congrats again! Mine turns one today! Never thought I'd say it, but baby girls are a TON of fun.

Re: It's a girl!
whats wrong with nate? i think it all depends on what you get people to call you. forexample, no one calls me jim, they call me jimmy because thats what i get them to call me.

Re: It's a girl!
I'm just the opposite. I like names with multiple versions available so when the kid gets older they can have options for what they prefer to be called. No matter how much you love a name, your kid may end up hating it.ska wrote:But my wife doesn't like names with shortened versions...(Harry). My top boy name was Nathan (Drake), but she didn't like it because it could be Nate.
I've made peace with my full name by now, but my freshman year in college I told two sorority chicks that I wanted to start going by a nickname for my middle name because it was the only thing I felt was salvageable out of my given first and middle names. It quickly caught on like wild fire (and later lead to my fraternity nickname being that plus a title that rhymes with my nickname). Now everyone calls me that nickname of my middle name, except for my family that knew me before college, and my wife who calls me whatever she wants.

Re: It's a girl!
I am absolutely privileged to share names with such a little cutie!
Congratulations! Was it easier getting pregnant this time around or did you go through the same process as before?
I'm so happy you are pumping out babies. We need 100 more of you.

Re: It's a girl!
I want to pinch your cheeks. The way you just portrayed your life is too precious.
Also, it is really irresponsible for ultrasound techs to do any kind of diagnostic work. I'm sorry for the completely unnecessary stress that caused you both.
What is her laugh like? Does it completely melt you into a puddle of goo? Wait a minute, do they ever laugh together? Ohhhhh man epitome of cuteness; baby/toddler siblings laughing their butts off about some silly toddler stuff.
