movies
Anyone seen any good ones lately?
Theater/netflix/redbox/etc
I watched the Rum Diaries with Johnny Depp, that was awesome.
Highly recommend.
The Grey was great. At first I wasn't sure I liked the ending, but the more I thought about it the more I liked it. Liam Neeson is such a pimp.
Girl with the dragon tattoo was baddass. Loved it.
Chronicle was pretty good. Somewhat cheesy at times, but overall an entertaining flick.
Red Tails was fucking awful. A couple cool flying scenes but overall just dogshit acting and writing.
That's all I can think of for now.

Re: movies
i watched no strings attached with natalie portman and that was a lot more funny that i thought it would be. decent if you want a light comedy while trying to go to sleep. go in with low expectations though.
i really really want to see the chronicle. i've heard great things. i've got a bootleg version of it, but i'm trying to determine if its worth it to watch it in theatres or if i can get by with the handy cam version
pardon my spelling, typing on my phone.

Re: movies
its got some pretty cool special effects scenes where it might be beneficial to see it in the theater or atleast on bluray.

Re: movies
The three above you listed has me excited, and Liam Neeson is bad as shit. I think my problem now is that I don't get to watch movies like I used to (went almost every other weekend to a movie), even when it comes to redbox or netflix I hardly have the time. So I feel whenever I DO actually get the chance to sit down and watch the movie I have really high expectations. Here are a few I caught recently:Jordan311 wrote:Anyone seen any good ones lately?

Moneyball- EXCELLENT, deserving of any/all of the awards it gets
Hangover 2- I loved the first one so much, but this was just BAD. Rarely laughed at all
No Strings Attached- like jimbo said, entertaining
Sherlock 2- we already discussed, but GREAT movie
Re: movies
Drive was fucking excellent
Re: movies
I watched a movie called "take shelter". It was about a man and his transformation into schizophrenia and is convinced a great storm is upon him. It's kinda like donnie darko meets twister.

Re: movies
Ghost Protocol was good. Best M:I since the first IMO.
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was alright. The best part was the Lizbeth character. Daniel Craig is a little stale to me.
Moneyball is meh. Too long for the subject matter and Jonah Hill doesn't really fit the role he was given. I'd rather watch Seven.
The Help is really good and deserving of all the nominations it received. Funny as hell too.

Re: movies
So The Artist won the oscars for best picture, and yeah it was good.
I watched an old one recently: Chinatown. It's got Jack Nicholson and it's a noir detective story. Really good.

I just recently watched Space Jam, it's been years and wow it's really not that great.
