My perspective: If your proposition is totally unprovable or subjective, like "there is some sort of higher power", then there's no evidence that can be put forth either way. I wouldn't say the odds are 50/50 that it's true, but I would certainly say that we can't know for sure either way....

I don't agree. Just presenting a claim does not automatically give it a 50% chance of being true.
