I don't think people are going to make enough polls for there to be a poll forum. If forums seem to get crowded with polls then maybe add this section but until then I think it will just be dead space.

I feel like polls should just mix into the "Anything" forum. I think people would pay more attention to the polls if it were that way. Personally, I don't wake up at 2 am yearning to log onto a message board to participate in some polls, so I'm never like "Lemme see what's going on over in that poll section today", because I know that its just gonna be filled with polls and nothing else. Polls, in my opinion, aren't special posts that should be segregated. Polls exist when there is a conversation that the author wants to present and wants to view a simple opinion immediately, followed by thoughtful elaboration in followup posts by others. This is why they should be in the regular section, because they arent special. If they are segregated, then either people who aren't ecstatic about the thought of a poll won't even bother to ever check the special poll section, or they won't have any elaboration at all within them, resulting in really stupid polls like "WHO LIKES HERSHEYS WITH ALMONDS??" 7 people click yes, 10 click no...and there are like 3 responses that either say "Hershey's is awesome" or "Nuts fucking suck" with no thought put into any of that. So yeah, that was one hell of a fucking response about the ethics of polls...but haha...no, I don't think there should be a special poll section.

Shiny you kick ass and your post is excellently thought out. For this reason I will not be keeping the poll section. BUT I would bet money that no matter what I do, there will be polls like "WHO LIKES HERSHEYS WITH ALMONDS??" at some point.
