1. Protest the Hero - Scurrilous
These dudes have stepped up big. Very techy compared to kezia and fortress. No growling vocals which I love and I think it suits their style better, not to mention rody walker is a beast on the mic. They are finally becoming a great live band as well. This song below hits epic status at 2:48.



2. The Human Abstract - Digital Veil
Another prog metal band that has come a long way. AJ minette (guitarist) is the brains behind all the writing. Goes from rip your face off to tech to beautiful. They got a new vocalist for this album which is great since the guy on their first two albums blew. Here is the title track...looooove this little hook



This one is probably my favorite on the album. Beautiful, techy, and heavy.



3. Iron and Wine - Kiss each other Clean
Lots of funky stuff on this one. The production and mixing is fucking fantastic. SOOOO much going on musically and it all works really well.

I see what you're saying. I prefer the versions on the EP over the LP, but I still really love it. Such a fun band/music.
