Just saw Book of Mormon, they've used up all their funny for a year or two. it was amazing, and I would suggest anyone located anywhere close to NYC make it happen. i have a connect and can get you a backstage tour after if you want.

they've just lost focus of the show. they rely too much on all-out pop culture parodies now. and while they used to be cutting edge, the parodies these days aren't timely at all. this season started with a 'jersey shore' parody - like almost a full year after people were like 'whaaaaat' about that show. same with the ipad and human centipede references. blah blah. whatever. i feel like every recent half-season has at least one standout episode though.

typing it out will probably make it sound not funny i'm sure, but here goes
it's about two recently minted mormon elders going to do their mission. they are unlikely companions, and their destination of uganda and its horrible living conditions are not exactly what they were expecting. the main guy wanted to go to the land of his dreams, orlando. catchy songs and hilarity ensues
it definitely feels like a trey parker matt stone production.
