Man friday nights are a drag.
I work 4-12 PM. that's the most inconvenient shift ever!
At least I get to work from home tonight, so I get paid to sit on my ass on my computer at home, which is basically what I do most of the time anyway. lol

I love my job for these reasons, but it comes at the price of my weekends and sometimes my sanity! haha



Ok, so, in an attempt to make this a worthwhile topic...

tell me something you love, and something you hate about your job.

things I love: being able to work from home, and all the cool people i get to talk to all day across the country. everyone that works with/for me is super cool.
things I hate: schedule eats my weekends completely (although Im gettin saturday and sunday nights off now), and sometimes the scheduling is super retarded like I'll be on call all day and then there wont be any work or some BS.

I am unemployed.... I get paid to go to school though pretty much, with your hard earned tax dollars.

Love:

Time seems to really fly when I'm driving.
I get a 3 hour break between shifts so I can go anywhere and eat anything for lunch.
The kids crack me up with their crazy little personalities.
I work without being monitored/watched/micromanaged.
Non-judgmental atmosphere (all walks of life in all age groups).
One of the dispatchers, though like 40, is so fucking beautiful I have a genuine crush on her.

Hate:

Loud, obnoxious children who do not listen.
Terrible parents who send their kids on the bus in a t-shirt, with skittles for breakfast.
Waking up at 5 in the morning.
Not being able to stay awake past 9 PM without going into sleep debt.
The cold weather.
She's married.

I work 32-40 hours a week for Cumberland Farms. I think the pay sucks but the clientele always entertain me, whether it is drunks at 1 in the afternoon, old ladies blowing their SS checks on scratch tickets, or the same drunks at 1 in the afternoon coming in later that night belligerent as all hell just looking for a fight. Anyone from New England knows that Cumby's is a staple to our lives, because they are everywhere, much like dunkin' donuts. The best part of the job is throwing people out and cursing them out, I love telling people GTFO

do you yell at the kids if they don't shut the fuck up at a railroad crossing. My bus drivers always used to bug out. When I became older and subsequently more of a smart ass, I distinctly remember yelling at the crossing "HOOOOHOOOOOO, Shit son here comes the HO TRAIN"

I work on campus at the university's career center. Basically help juniors, seniors and alumni find a job after graduation.

Likes:
- Everybody in the office is awesome.
- Schedule is awesome, work around classes.
- Weekends off.

Dislikes:
- There are the occasional days when I have NOTHING to do.
- Pay sucks.
- Paid once a month.
- The bonehead student who has gone 7 years through college and has no idea what a resume is (OR) the student that writes their resume on sticky notes and expects to get a salary based job...good luck!

Luckily whenever I'm at a railroad crossing my bus is either empty, or only has 2 or 3 kids in it.

I program for a medical billing company. I love programming and I enjoy the work. The things that bug me are when I have to stay really late when I wasn't expecting to, and when I think I have a better idea of how to do something than my higher-ups, but don't feel like I can say anything.

YOU ALWAYS GET RID OF THE GOOD ONES!" actually lady, the ones you are looking for smell like old socks and poo, be happy we have eradicated them and prevented you from smelling that way in the future. mankind is thanking US right now. or the insane women who steal weekly, sometimes more than once a week, and return the products right away. theres nothing we can do.
