Justin Morneau (the reigning AL MVP) is like a young Mark Mcguire (at 6'4"), our pitcher Johan Santana (the reigning Cy Young award winner) is by far the best pitcher in baseball right now, and Joe Mauer (the reigning batting champion) is beleived by many to have the potential to be the next player to bat .400 in a season (and since he's 6'5" he'll have a lot of power eventually, too).

Their ages? Johan = 28, Justin = 25, and Joe = 23. The fact that they're already this good only means good things for the future.

The rest of our team is very good, too. Lots of scrappy, baseball smart guys who run and throw very hard.

Oh yeah, and we have a renowned gold glover in center field named Tori Hunter who quietly hit 31 homers in his best season in the majors.

The Twins are already leading the division, and today they're up 3-0 against the White Sox.

Ron Gardenhire was the 3rd base coach for years while the Twins won 2 world series championships. Since he took over for Tom Kelly he has lead the team to their best record over ANY 5 year span which was also the first time the Twins have ever had a winning record 5 years in a row.
