I'm sure you've probably seen it, but as far as plot twists go, I think Saw had one of the best plot twists I've ever seen. I was completely caught off guard and I absolutely loved it.
The Village, however, I did not enjoy. Though it had a crazy twist, I just didn't like where the twist took it I guess. Especially with the atmosphere and the supernatural elements in Shamalyan's films, maybe I just wanted a different ending to the movie. I would say more, but I don't want to reveal the end.
This new movie seems as if it could go either way. Restore my love for Shamalyan's creativity, or make me not really care about hearing about his movies anymore.
And sorry for the long post, but I heard that Shamalyan's movies each reflect an experience he has personally had in his life at some point. Any fact to this statement? I'd love to know.
