Favorite Stand Up Comedians
not in order
Robin Williams - "Live on Broadway" dvd is fucking histarical, especially when he's impersonating Keith Richards
Lewis Black - the funniest, pissed-off. and most politically charged old man I've ever seen.
Eddie Murphy - "Delirious" and "Raw" are fuckin classic, almost makes you forget that its the same guy who did "Daddy Day Care" and "The Haunted Mansion" and "Dr. Doolittle" or any other fluff he's done since Stand Up has left his life.
Dennis Leary - he's Irish, he's usually drunk, and he just doesn't give a fuck, plus he can rant for hours
Richard Pryor - innovator, plain and simple. he deserves to be on my list simply for the fact that he used to be a clean and somber Cosby impersonator, before he litterally just said "Fuck It"
Dane Cook - silly and stupidly funny when stoned, about the only stand-up who can actually just talk about random and stupid stuff and make me double with laughter
Zack Galifiankis - Caught his stand-up special one night on Comedy Central and was in stitches because of him. He has a unique way of going about his stand-up and he mixed in some funny ass stage antics with it. The hilarious end of his Comedy Central Special invovled a choir of singers who were supposed to be all his ex girlfriends, breakaway pants, and a giant Notepad........oh and he didn't say a single word.
David Cross - knew he was a comedian, just never saw his stand up untill yesterday, but hes hysterical. Almost as pissed off as Lewis Black, just gotta give him a few more years

David Cross - after being obsessed with Mr. Show for so long, I've grown to really appreciate his mockingly cynical view on everything. The fact that the titles of the tracks on his CDs make fun of typical comedian jokes is a plus.
Demetri Martin - I don't think he's been mentioned yet, but I love his on-stage composure and the calmness that he maintains when coming up with witty shit.
George Carlin - master of commentary
Dane Cook - I've been listening to him less after EVERYONE started quoting him because it got annoying after a while hearing everyone that you don't like saying "NO MORE COOKIES, BRRR!"...but listening to his latest CD while smoking last year was one of the hardest times I've ever laughed.
Mitch Hedberg - yep

I saw Robin Williams on JayLeno not too long ago, and about EVERYTHING he said was a joke. It was fuckin hilarious.

He is probably one of the funniest stand-ups I've watched. Everything he says is to goofy not to laugh at. Good pick.Shiny wrote: Demetri Martin - I don't think he's been mentioned yet, but I love his on-stage composure and the calmness that he maintains when coming up with witty shit.

The only reason Mitch wasn't on my list is because I haven't really heard him that much. I live in Southwest Iowa, I didn't even get Comedy Central till about a year ago, let alone HBO or anything else that shows Stand-Up.
But needless to say Stand-Up has become a big part of my life. Not in the sense that I try Standd-Up or want to be a Stand-Up, but in the sense that it's almost become therapeutic for me to come home on my lunch break or after a long days work and flip on Comedy Central and watch some other guy/girl bitch about her life instead of me having to bitch about my life.......and it's funnier and more entertaining.
