My Top Ten All Time Movies

Post by rchrhds29 »

1. Mallrats: This flick came out when I was like 15 and literally was a "mallrat" so it just encompassed my persona at the time so much that I still just adore it to this day, I think it's Kevin Smith's most underappreciated movie. I have the poster of Mallrats framed on my wall.

2. Clerks II: I know everyone else thinks the first Clerks was by far better, and many dislike this flick a ton, but I just think this one was so much better than the first. I mainly think this one was better because the Elias character is just so f'ing funny and I love the Star Wars vs. The Lord of the Rings ongoing argument in it. Got a framed poster of this too.

3. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut: I am an absolute diehard South Park fan and think that this full length feature is as strong as some of the strongest 'South Park' episodes like, "The Ungroundable" (Butters is my favorite character and I love the goth kids), "Poor and Stupid", and "A-W-E-S-O-M-O". Got a framed poster of this flick as well.

4. Dogma: Another one of Kevin Smith's movies which I think is extremely underrated! Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, Selma Hayek, Linda Fiorentino, Alan Rickman, and Jason Lee all put on great performances, plus I absolutely LOVE the cameos by Brian O'Halloran (Dante) and Randall (can't remember his real name). LOL, got this poster framed too.

5. Road Trip: Epic comedy starring Tom Green and Sean William Scott.

6. The Hebrew Hammer: One of the three or four movies made by Comedy Central, and by far the best. Probably most of you have never heard of this flick so I'll give a little info on it. It stars Adam Goldberg, Eddie Griffin, and Andy Dick and is a Jewish version of blaxploitation flicks such as Dolemite and Shaft. Adam Goldberg stars as the Hebrew Hammer, a Jewish private eye, who has to save Hannuakah from an evil Santa, played by Andy Dick, who is hellbent on destroying the holiday. If you like racial humor this movie is a must have!!!!

7. Team America: World Police: Awesome work by Trey and Matt!

8. Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey: I know most people think Excellent Adventure is the better flick, but for my money it's gotta be Bogus Journey.

9. CB4: The Movie: One of Chris Rock's very first, if not the first, starring roles, and amazing!

10. Baseketball: Obviously I am a huge fan of Trey and Matt, so obviously gonna love this, plus Reel Big Fish performs in it which is awesome!

Jordan311, whatever I just have different taste than you. Moreover, the majority of my list is made up of movies from either Trey Parker and Matt Stone or Kevin Smith, and Trey and Matt and Kevin Smith are considered by a ton of people to be three of the most talented people around today, and both (putting Trey and Matt together as one) have a gigantic legion of superfans.

Also I agree with ska that the new Indiana Jones flick was just horrid.

Don't mind jordan311, he has a dash of douche in his coffee every morning. Kevin Smith has really fallen apart over the last decade. I'm a real big fan of his earlier work and think Jersey Girl was very underrated. But his latest works... well they're kind of embarrassing especially that comic tv show he's on. Christ on a cracker what a dumb idea.

Putting those three at the top is the silliest thing I've heard in awhile.

I like all of those movies (especially Bill & Ted), but your list appears to have been put together by someone who is still 15. Don't you like any genres beside comedy?

If you like Parker and Stone so much, where's the love for Orgazmo or Cannibal, the musical? They didn't even write, produce, or direct baseketball.

Station: Yeah I mostly only like comedy, but I did consider: 'Midnight Express', 'Suicide Kings', and 'Trainspotting'.

Dj3stripes: Yeah I know Parker and Stone didn't direct, write, etc. 'Baseketball'. 'Orgazmo' I do really like a lot but couldn't justify putting it on the list and 'Cannibal: The Musical' was decent at best.

suicide kings...come for walken eating an entire generation of younger actors alive while tied to a chair, stay for nothing else except maybe Dennis Leary's shark skin boots...there were a lot of Tarantino knock-off in the 90's but this one took the cake as the biggest offender with the least to offer

This is just another case of poor thread titling. "My Top Ten Comedy Movies", though awkwardly phrased, would have saved you plenty of grief.

I mean, you can't honestly have a "Top Ten All Time" that is basically one genre. But, it's your list so I guess you can. I won't be asking you to bring movies to a TB meetup.
