I got this from Mega upload the other day and just got done watching it.
I was back and forth between spoiling myself or waiting....of course my lack of patients overpowers me.

Judging from this first episode.
The season is going to kick so much ass.
Looks as though it will make up double time for the "not so great" season 5 (i still loved that season though).
I have a feeling that this Season will trump Season 4 as the greatest.

I will hold off on episode discussion to avoid spoilers for others.
I will see you guys after the season premier.

I reallllllllyyyyy loved this episode.

I like how they are playing with religion.
I could not stop laughing at the convo that Dex and Angel had about god hahahh.
It was really cute seeing Dex being confused about being popular and seeing his dad give him pointers/cheering him on during the flag football game.

STOP...HAMMERTIME! pun had me grinning from ear to ear.

I thought it was pretty good. The whole high school reunion bit was fun. and the hammer time. and the blowjob in the classroom. Good to see Dex single again.

The whole religious creep bad guy was kinda contrived/cliche. I don't think that antagonist is very believable. But they will probably sell me on it before the season is through.

I have a feeling that Mosdeff will be Dexter's new Spiritual guide/sidekick

i like mosdef's character.

The other bad guys are terribly weak. Some of the acting in this season is the worst I've ever seen on a major network drama. Almost seems like one of those lifetime movies, or criminal minds, or some other BS. The scene where old evil religious nut guy is punishing young evil religious nut guy by burning himself with the hot iron, and then the young guy starts crying on his knees and shit... so corny.

I don't think this season is going to be very good. They're really trying way too hard with these religious themes. It seems very contrived.
The kill scenes so far have not been satisfying. We've been seeing Dex kill people for 5 seasons now, and the best they can do is him just slitting someone's throat? They need to step that shit up like 20 notches.
And too much relationship/office drama already in just 2 episodes. And enough with Dexter all goo goo ga ga with his little kid already. Christ.

In this ep, i loved how they showed how religion is used for fear and control.

Also, when Dexter was reminded on how he will always have his dark passenger......no matter how old.

Though it was odd that Dexter gave sympathy to the Tooth Fairy's son by not stabbing his father, but giving him a heart attack so it would show his death as a natural cause.

I would assume that this shows how much Dexter really cares about his son.

i dont get how dex apparently was able to get into a car accident, drive over to the dudes house, carry him upstairs, bring all of his equipment and no one noticing anything strange.

look i love dexter...what made it so great was it was kind of believable, he stalked his prey, he was sure to never leave any evidence, make sure no one would see...he just doesnt do that anymore and its annoying.

Saw this theory on the BB and thought it was genius...

Professor Gellar is Travis's dark passenger (similar to how Dexter can only "see" Harry, but different since Harry is his better judgment). I'll be watching more closely now...looking to see if anyone really pays attention to Gellar, or if they only focus on Travis.

I see it more as a split personality...Dr. Jeckyl Mr. Hyde kinda thing.

I really like that theory. I dont know if its true though. On the preview for next week's episode at the end of the last one, i think i remember seeing it show dexter finding records and stuff on his computer of the old guy. And they were also talking about how the murders were being done by 2 people, not one. Plus I just dont think the writers are that clever. Lol

But if it is true and thats the young bad guy's dark passenger, or dead mentor... Then that would be an AWESOME twist.
