Finally watched it tonight. I've had the dvd for months... but it was one of those that I never got around to watching.
It was good, I mean the cinematography and special fx are impressive... and the story is ok ... but it's nothing spectacular. I love medieval/ancient epics...
Gerard does a good job with the material he had... I didn't see any weak spots with the acting ... it's just much more of visual experience than anything.
I wonder what Braveheart would have looked like if it was done in that dreamy landscape... with the slow motion action sequences. I'm still waiting for the warrior epic that's going to blow everything else out of the water.
To me Lord of the Rings was the closest thing i've seen.
