pepper sucks...

Post by GOAT »

they are by far one of the worst bands 311 has decided to take out with them on tour... i just listened to a bunch of their songs and not one even made me even remotely like them. they are worst than the most mainstream music. :?

LOL, my friend is a huge fan of them. I'm bringing him along to Red Rocks.

I like Pepper, yeah they basically sound like Sublime...but I want to hear those Hexum produced tracks.

I got a couple of their cds on half.com for prettty cheap when I found out they were opening for 311 (I had never heard of them). I wasn't very impressed with any of the cds I listened to. Maybe one or two songs. But, there seem to be a lot of people who really like them, so I'm holding on to them for the 30 hour road trip to California in a week.

I found out about pepper like 3 years ago at warped tour and I didnt really like thme, but liked them more as the time's gone by. I wouldnt suggest starting with their most recent CD In with the Old, its like starting someone off listening to 311 with Dont Tread on Me. Download thier first two CDs Given It and Kona Town. The guys voice does sound exactly like brad nowell's some times which kinda ruins it.

Given iT:
Prank Caller
Regret Is
Bad Idea
Forever

Kona Town:
Sitting on the Curb
Boot
Dry Spell
Ho's

i recently bought both kona town and in with the old and i personally really like pepper. another thing, even though they do sound alot like sublime... most people seem to like sublime so why not like pepper? its the same kinda sound and even though its not the most original stuff out there i think they still rock and im stoked to see them open for 311

Pepper isn't any breakthrough in music. But they are un to listen to. I have Kona Town and like that CD.

Pepper> unwritten law and papa roach.

Plus, pepper won't bring any fuckass meatheads to the shows. itll be a very chill crowd this summer.

Pepper does suck, but who can 311 bring with them other wise? 311 stopped bringing cool bands out on tour with them a long time ago - with the exception of G Love and the roots.

311 and Slightly Stoopid would fucking rock. Someone should try and post something on the official message board or something to ask P-Nut about it and see what he says.

pepper > unwritten law & papa roach

I don't mind pepper at all, sure its not groundbreaking or anything, but its music that is easy to listen to. Their the first band in a 3 band lineup, so if they suck who cares? For the record Kona Town is a decent album imo.

Any underground hip-hop band would be sick. Something like Immortal Technique or Mos Def. Lojic would be my top pick, though.

Oe they could find any undeground talent they can and bring them along. Something that no one has really heard.
