my 311 playlist on air today

Post by antfarm311 »

since i couldn't make it this year, i decided to play my favorite tracks from each album on the air. my boss was kinda sketchy on how many i picked, 27 songs (3 from each album - including omaha sessions)

in order:

1-Omaha Stylee
2-My Stoney Baby
3-There's Always An Excuse
4-Sick Tight
5-Life's Not A Race
6-Sever
7-Do You Right
8-Hostile Apostle
9-Inner Light Spectrum
10-Down South
11-Welcome
12-Purpose
13-Uncalm
14-Speak Easy
15-Mindspin
16-Running
17-Brodels
18-Soul Sucker
19-Sometimes Jacks Rule the Realm
20-Today My Love
21-Still Dreaming
22-Seems Uncertain
23-Jupiter
24-Misdirected Hostility
25-Silver
26-Solar Flare
27-Homebrew

i did my 311 backstory on each album era, and then advertised for 311 day tomorrow, and i got so many calls from people listening in telling me that they enjoyed that somebody was recognizing 311 and not playing "amber" hahah. just doing my part for them i guess.

I think its Mon, Wed, Fri from 12-3 PM right antfarm?

Nice setlist, man you guys are doing some awesome shit. Your boss seems pretty chill, and wants to get real music on the air and not some reruns everyday.

yeah alex, you got the right times.

yeah he was skeptish at first, but i told him that it wasn't JUST rap/rock i had some reggae and easy-listening tunes in the mix too. i'm trying to get some more unknown alternative artists (i.e. ben kenney's solo work, matisyahu, etc.) on the station, we're basically playing artists that are just beginning to be noticed before they hit big.

and i just got a second job working at a music store in the hammond square mall, they carry a lot most record stores don't so i'm looking forward to starting next week there.
