got Mosaic in the mail today. Good, Bad, Good Facts

Post by CodyComeaux »

I'm thankful for Texas USPS for moving their asses in the shipment of my PledgeMusic pre-order package to arrive a day early,
HOWEVER, my order for the Signed CD and lithograph arrived at my place in this condition....
CD not signed. Litho has seen better days. (Don't we all FRAME these lithographs? haha)

On the BRIGHTER side of things! 311's OG great CD booklet of facts and lyrics!

Here's the 100% actual lyrics typed from the CD booklet as is, y facts of my current favorite meal of the Mosaic feast- OATS!

One and the Same
Music: N. Hexum, A. Wills
Lyrics: D. Martinez, N. Hexum, A. Wills
Produced by: Ralston

Thinking about when I was real young
Feeling like I was the only one
Born in the bottom a state of disconnection
Found it wouldn't be so bad
When you would come along for the ride
No one can stop us from crossing the line
All I can say is what I will do
Get out of the way or we are going to
Burn the whole thing down
What we're gonna do now

Show you what it's all about

Come to find out we're highly indivisible
Gonna find out we're something like invincible
You're just in the way
Cuz someone led you astray
We come from one and the same!

Nothing is vacant
The emptiness feels like it
can go on and go on
For the distance
an incessant discontent
When your back is up against
a world full of resistance

All I can say is what I will do
Get out of the way or we are going to
Burn the whole thing down
What we're gonna do now

Show you what it's all about

Come to find out we're highly indivisible
Gonna find out we're something like invincible
You're just in the way
Cuz someone led you astray
We come from one and the same!

One and the same means the Yin and Yang comprising everything
Greater than the sum of the parts that's why we got this far
Vital to the survival of the human race
That's why we're letting them know scream in your fuckin face

One and the same
With a bang
Do or die with your mains
Ain't nothing changed
Or so strange
With burning sage in the caves
Can never gauge renegades
Whipping up your parade
No matter age or the decade
We're not lost in a purple haze

Come to find out we're highly indivisible
Gonna find out we're something like invincible
You're just in the way
Cuz someone led you astray
We come from one and the same!

I forgot who was complaining about the lyrics of the incredible song - Syntax Error, but you can take that shit up straight to the fucking man and 6th member of 311- Mr. Scotch Ralston. Every lyric from Syntax Error- written by him.

I saw who it was, bc I got text alerts for every scan for the Mosaic package made.. I got the text earlier today that it was delivered, and ran downstairs of my apt. to see the mail guy finishing up and leaving, and was like THERE BETTER BE A PIECE OF PAPER TO PICK UP MY PACKAGE AT THE FRONT OFFICE IN MY MAIL BOX!... I opened the box and sure enough! It was shoved in the mofo.

I contacted PledgeMusic and have faith that they're gonna fix things. I mean, they've done 3 pledges for 311 back to back, so that's saying a lot. :D

I in fact love the wordplay on Syntax Error, now that I'm reading it all together in the CD booklet. Of course it's not meant to be literal. With that being said, it gives the song a multiple meaning to it, however you receive it to your own personal life.

SYNTAX ERROR
Music: C. Sexton
Lyrics: Scotch Ralston

I know I should have stopped it
Any other day I'd know better
But now I'm laid out on the floor

I know I kind of dropped it
Should've written it down in a letter
But now there's one foot out the door

All the words in disarray
Lost in translation
Errors just replay

I didn't know it was like that
Left field, way off of center
and now there's just one great divide

There's no doubt wait.. strike that
All conversation is splintered
oh well, oh hell, at least I tried

All the thoughts I can't relay
Have no explanation
Defects just display

Spell-checked streamlined clarified
Cut copied pasted
and erased it
but I replaced it

Outlined researched summarized
paraphrased arranged
and then deleted
Now I'm defeated

Good intentions gone astray
Locked in frustration
Plot lines in decay
Spoken.

Nahh, no worries.
Just approach it as any other business with any other company. With that being said, Customer Service is a high percentage of any successful business.

I sent my complaint to PledgeMusic today. I told them what I specifically used my money to pay for and what I received in the mail. It doesn't match. I also included photos. And I finished with the demand for PledgeMusic to mail me via 1 Day Air:
(1) Mosaic lithograph in perfect condition
(1) Signed Mosaic Cd.
