I'm just going to go ahead and say this.

Transistor would have been worse for having this song added to it. I like the music, but it really doesn't do anything for me. Whoever made the decision to leave it off, made the right one.

I believe it was just the start, improvising, messing around and could have totally been a super zone out song better than Inner Light, but I think it got left out because SA goes a little hardcore and direct towards the oil industry.... Would have lost a lot of oil worker fans. And that's a lot of Down South fans.

I'm pretty sure this rumor was accidentally started on this board 10 years ago. It was during a thread when we were making up fake things that would hypothetically be in a tell-all book about 311 one day. It evolved to the point where people had a whole back story about him almost quitting the band after taking too many mushrooms or something. I don't think this rumor has any basis other than people browsing this board and believing it. So yeah everyone got trolled, and this is most likely false.
