Because from a business perspective, if 311 mgmt is ACTUALLY thinking about releasing all of the 311 Days at a later date, when they want another "box set" type of thing to sell, for another hopefully large financial income...
That shit won't work, Adam and Peter Raspler.
Because
WE KNOW that they were all professionally recorded, via video & Audio.
And for example, to finally release a 311 Day 2002 blu-ray in like 2020??... We're not gonna want that shit NEARLY as much as if they'd release the 311 Days on video every time, before the next 311 Day show is performed.
(Rasplers, look at the sales of 311 Day 2004, the webcasts, and the Pow Wow dvds. A LOT RIGHT? You all get paid and the fans like us are super happy! Why not do it???)
On the other hand of looking at it as a business perspective, with 311 NOT releasing video or audio of the 311 Day shows, that guarantees a little more, that the shows will sell out with people flying in from around the world. That makes more sales on 311 Day T-shirts, posters, etc.
And I think that may be 1 reason why they aren't releasing the footage. Along with what you said, rooting to one member, obviously. Haha...
Let's break it down
-miT has his mistakes, yes. Does he give a shit? Hell no.
-SA is nearly word for word on every song and if not he makes it fun anyway! He won't care.
-Chad, flawless as usual.
-I'm sure P-Nut already wants to release them.
-Now on to Nicholas..... vocal flaws, yes. We know this. He also has to remember rhythm guitar simultaneously and think of the right things to say between songs to the crowd. Yeah, he has a lot on his plate, but I believe it roots to him being a perfectionist, as to why they aren't all being released. Which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to do in his position for the length of 311 Day shows. Put the ego and pride aside Nick, and do what 311 has always done and give back to the fans of this big thing that we all want.
Spoken.
