How come no one likes Showdown?

I quite like it. It's not the best song they've ever recorded, and it doesn't hold back on the cheese, but it's not that bad. I mean, is it? I'm not a music snob by any means, but I just don't get why folks seem to think this song is so terrible.

Hmm. Now that I think of it, I only really remember one or two people saying they didn't like it, and it was probably someone on the BB. It could just be a vibe I get from some comments or lack of comments. It seems like it gets a "least solid track" sorta reputation. Maybe I'm just weird.

Weird edit: there is a post on the BB about Friday Afternoon being the "3rd Worst Song of the Year" according to Grantland. I posted that FA isn't even the worst on the album, yada, yada yada. Someone responded that Showdown is "clearly the worst." Both the original post and this response (pre-edit, which is the first paragraph, which I didn't change) were written before I saw that comment. Just didn't want you to think I was being cheeky or whatever.

At any rate, I appreciate the responses thus far.
