I've tried a couple times, but I think my eardrums have changed. Nick's voice just seems to hurt me.

It's hard to make an unbiased judgment, but Nick's voice fucking sucks. The guitars and drums sound like shit. Although from what I've heard so far, it's much better than anything they've put out in the past 10 years.

I personally feel that Nick's voice has gotten better since day one. And the ranges of vocal notes he holds smoothly for a long time at parts on Stereolithic, is very impressive. I believe that his solo project helped him a lot on his voice.
