stereolithic is great because after over 15 years they're still able to pull it off. Think about it. Sure they track a demo for something that they just couldn't fit on transistor. That ablum was packed to the brim. You think there's only 1 or 2 demos that made their way into other songs? I say half of the transistor sessions never made it on the album. Their longest hiatus between albums since they got together over 7 years before it came out.

The potential for what many rabid 311 fans have been craving is finally coming to the surface. I fucking love it.

anyone who thinks they're out of creativity because they're using old demos has obviously never been in a band before. that's how songs are written. you riff around, come up with something good, but if you're not feeling the vibe to finish it you shelve it. then in the future you rehash it and since you're further through life at that point maybe you're feeling a creative spark and want to hammer away at the rest of the song, so you do. then the full song is born.

THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED A DEMO. DEMO = DEMONSTRATION. it's how the song COULD be played. and besides, if those demos never leaked, you wouldn't know any better anyway.

That video was posted on YouTube by Chad Sexton himself Dec 22, 2012. The music audio for that video was not necessarily created at the same time the video footage was shot. All we know for sure is the audio existed as of Dec 22, 2012. The Made in the Shade demo is not necessarily a From Chaos outtake. Just sayin'.
