the danger here is that somehow 'indie' is still synonymous with 'inventive, experimental, free from constraints, etc'... but in actuality they could be preparing us a steaming shit platter of garbage on non-major label. BE WARY OF MISLEADING STATEMENTS

This is true. I don't think this will necessarily be 311's experimental album that we're all hoping for, but probably a step in the right direction, and we may still get to see some truly good shit if they keep making records down the road.

nick emailed me a few tracks after I finally got a chance to blow him after the 2nd quintet show - girthier than you might think but not very long.. hear thats common among the scottish. in any case, what I heard was real sunshiney as usual. SA has a rap in spanish. first single drops Jan 1st.

It's SUCH LAZY SHIT....and it doesnt sound good...it sounds STUPID....

I can manage some of the yeahs' but.....ugh. Supernatural was to the point of "Nick...did you even LISTEN to this after you recorded it?" It's like me when I write a term paper...I fire through 2 pages without looking up....and I turn it in...later to get it back with a terrible grade, and then I re-read my fucked up mess and go....I'm an idiot (and I thought this was GOLD)

so yeah...Nick....no more yeah's otherwise I'm going to officially re-name 311 to "the Yeah Yeah Whoah Yeahs"
