why?FrixHex311 wrote:Dude you again? go away.
I was asking a simple question to someone and informing people that Count Me In had its live debut.

the show was sick they always pull out seldom played songs for philly probably because we SOLD OUT the venue. it was a great time, pnut even tweeted this morning saying the neeed to put up a memorial for that show in philly hahaha. it was wild and crazy and cant wait for next year already.

What's the exact venue location? Is it near south street? I have family in philly so this might be my summer stop in the future due to DC being faggots about tailgating

its right on the river, its on spring garden and columbus i believe which is some what near the end of south street i suppose. tailgating isnt exactly allowed in philly either (only 2 lots have it, 1 is wild the other not so much) but i was on a side street with a lot of other people where we created our own tailgate which was really cool. its also a great venue because you can get as close as you want, i personally was never more than maybe 15 people back the entire time and got to the front at the end of it.

So GA for the entire show? I dig. And I'm ok with not tailgating as I would assume there are great bars around there to goto.

yeah its all GA which is awesome, its basically just a huge concrete lot and you are free to go wherever you want. and you can tailgate for sure there just arent many places you can do it and you need to get there early to get a spot.

There are a few, but not really close to the Pier.
You have Cavanaugh's right next to the Pier.
Sugarhouse Casino is a few blocks down
Buckheads and Finnegans Wake are up on 3rd Street.
Any other fancier places are in center city.

The one time i don't go to the NJ and Philly shows, they play a decent/great set.

I feel for you man as I have extreme rage right now as well. I saw that set and was so excited for VA Beach. We usually get a good one and I thought that maybe they were getting in some good rare songs as a warm up for Pow Wow. Then we get the fucking greatest hits setlist. Other than seeing Count Me In and WGTH's rap ending, I honestly wish I hadn't gone.Tehshewz wrote:I fucking knew it.

WHY MUST THEY PLAY PLAIN, NIX HEX, FREEZE TIME, NIX HEX, DO YOU RIGHT all the damn time? Those don't please the hardcore or casual fans. Switch LTCF for Nix Hex and the real fans would go crazy and the casuals wouldn't know the difference.

I feel you on Nix Hex. That song is horrible. I need to go add that to that dude's "worst 311 songs playlist"flyersfan900 wrote:I feel for you man as I have extreme rage right now as well. Not to mention that on their twitter account they posted: "Sound checking a rare song from Transistor for tonight!"flyersfan900 wrote:I feel for you man as I have extreme rage right now as well. Re: Philly show was BOMB!
One more thing: Is there anything more contrived than the encore? I can only assume that encores originally started because fans were going so crazy and still cheering after a show that a band felt they HAD to come back out and play a few more songs.
I assume 311 isn't the only band to do this, but they just leave the stage for a few minutes and people cheer a little bit, but most of the people just stand there knowing that the encore is going to come no matter what. Why waste everyone's time? Just play another song instead of going off stage. Or if they can truly only handle 22 songs per night just play 22 straight and let us get home a little earlier.
