I started looking up hotels. A ton are already all booked up from the 9-14. If you are planning on going I suggest checking out hotels now, especially if you would rather stay in the French Quarter area.

There is some type of medical convention in town that week. Thats why hotels are pretty well booked.

I have two separate hotels booked. One right off Bourbon, the other a few blocks away. I got lucky to find a hotel a few steps away from the chaos. But, I booked them over 2 months ago.

I do have a question that I hope someone can answer...I am going to 311 Day 2010 with a total of 6 people. I am pretty sure you can only buy 4 tickets at a time.....I wonder if there is a way for artist arena to allow us to purchase more than 4 tickets? I want to sit by everyone I am going with. Does anyone have an email addy for mgmt? PLEASE HELP, I want to find out how I can do this.

I guess you could be correct if you have some info on the venue. In 08' it was at the NO Arena (where the Hornets Play) and I had killer seats!!! I would assume they are going to play there again, but of course I could be wrong. I guess we will hear more in a few days....

ok so here is what you do.. keep it on the DL, thought this is probably a know phenomenon at this point.

last time they had assigned seating, though everyone stands and moves around... but the floor is all general admission

so... you buy non-floor tickets - get the e-tickets in an email, then photoshop it with the details of your choice... the barcode will work to get you in, and beyond that the ushers will let you in to whatever area it says on your ticket.

so if you are scared, use the un photoshopped ticket to get in and print another ticket that is doctored so you can get on the floor without jumping the gate like all those people last time.

that is my plan anyway. i know a dude who goes online the day before the yankee game he is going to to try and see what super expensive tickets are still available - then he photoshops a ticket for the really good seats that are always empty because they cost so much and biggity bam, a $25 ticket gets him $2000 seats.

i could have swarn it was ga.............. must have been a great time for me to not to have remembered where we sat....... I like ray's idea, i mean shit not even 1/3 of that floor was full, but the entertainment between sets/before the show was just priceless!
