Do you ever feel the need for some 311-therapy???

Post by Jordan311 »

I don't know about you guys, but every time I got for a while without listening to 311, and eventually find myself stressing out about things. Whether it's work, school, girls, social situations, money... anything, it always helps to throw on a whole bunch of 311, whether it's listening to a bunch of albums back to back, or just putting all my 311 in a shuffle playlist, and jamming out for a while.
I call it 311 therapy, and it always makes me feel a whole lot better and give me a positive outlook on things. These guys are def. some geniuses.

When I read the first line of that, I thought they were lyrics for Still Dreaming. Then I had an idea... What if that's the central message of that album, Choice, kind of like "Brainstorm, (take me away from / superceding) the norm" was on From Chaos, the only oher album I can think of with that going on. Though it's late, I'm tired and I'm sure there's more out there.

So, what I have so far is, Brainstorm, think of something Unique (away from the norm), and then Choose. :|

It is corflowerblue. And YES I am a Palahniuk fan... However, I chose the color because I liked how it looked :P

What is the connection to Chuck Palahniuk?

for sure this type of thing was more relevant when i was 13-18

but ya know, recently i have been tossing on some 311 albums and they have made me feel good for some reason. a lot of it is shit - and the older i get the more and more horrible and gay nicks vocals are - especially some of his lyrics, some of them are ridiculously bad - but there is that undefinable quality that 311 has that can still bring a smile to my face.

i really hope that the next record is something special - we'll see...

He uses cornflowerblue in a lot of his books. Like in Fight Club.
the only thing true, we gotta love each other. try to keep a positive vibe.

Actually, all of his books. Along with the city of Missoula.
