Re: Sand Dollars
the vocal melody in the chorus reminds me of SOMETHING. and I can't place it. It's driving me nuts every time i hear it. Sometimes I think Rush - Tom Sawyer. Or maybe it's some Metallica song... The Unforgiven? fuck. someone help

Re: Sand Dollars
Best soft one in years. Nice outro but wish it faded out more with the xylophone-esque sounds.ska wrote:Middle of the road 311 song.
Side note: It's funny how Sun Come Through gave us glimpses of this capability. 5 fucking years ago mind you.

Re: Sand Dollars
the teaser spoiled me on the ending, should have been extended at least twice as long, hell three times as long and fade out. Such a tease.

Re: Sand Dollars
I think it's more the rhythm that is reminiscent of something, less the melody. I can't place it. I kinda get a Foo Fighters vibe from it, actually.Jordan311 wrote: the vocal melody in the chorus reminds me of SOMETHING. and I can't place it. It's driving me nuts every time i hear it. That's exactly right. No nick between 0:00 and 0:58 and about 1:40 to about 2:00 ... I'd do it but I'm a tard.

Question on the lyrics: "Partially taking all the blame". How do you partially take ALL of something?

It does seem like musically right when a song is about to take on new life....it ends.dj3stripes wrote:like no nick from 0:00-0:58? pretty simple, just loop 0:14-0:24 a few times over.......
Like in "Friday Afternoon"
These guys should know by now that most of us would be perfectly fine with all instrumental tracks or extending a track with only instrumentals for another 10mins or whatever they need.
