You could probably write a review like this without even hearing it but at least it has to be a good sign the leak is near.

ska wrote:1 Ebb & Flow - is exactly what you'd expect from the Soundsystem era. The song rocks. Large in the Margin-like.
2-3 you already know.
4. Revelation of the year - A really funky mid-tempo guitar jam that just grooves along.
5. Sand Dollars - A reggae tune, smooth as silk.
6. Boom Shanka - This bouncing rocking track should be great live. SA has a call back to an older tune on this one. It kills. I'll let you be surprised when you hear it.
7. Make It Rough - This is another fun track. Starts off softer and then gets harder as the song goes. Some back & forth between Nick & SA. Nick has a great vocal/rap/toast at the end of this one.
8. The Great Divide - Hard rocking starter. This one has grown on me. But still not a favorite. I like the softer songs. The singing/chorus on this pretty good, I'm just not a fan of the riff/rapping on this one.
9. Friday Afternoon - You've all heard that this song wails Iron Maiden-like at the end. And it does. The song starts super slow and just builds and builds and then BAM.
10. Simple True - I can't express how much I love this song. Funky bass to start, then Nick comes in with wicked guitar and the song just goes. Love the chorus.
11. First Dimension - 'It's Getting OK Now' type of rocker. At least the opening riff reminds of it.
12. Made In the Shade - Another favorite. Spacey intro right out of the gate.
13. Existential Hero - Big fat rocker, but then smooths out a bit at the chorus. SA dominates this bad boy. (this is the song from the vine video, I think)
14. The Call - Panty drop? Yep, panties shall drop.
15. Tranquility - Another slow tune that just won't quit. It just drives along and closes out with a killer solo.

If anyone is on the fence that this album is going to be good or bad, I don't think they've been paying attention.

Oh I have been paying attention and I am super pumped. I was also super pumped for UP and it was over before I had even had a chance to decide if I liked it.

They have plenty of lyrics that aren't cheesy, and acceptably. Unfortunately the last 10 years have been cheesy in an awful sense.

Also I don't like the NHQ. I could do without that.

I really liked NHQ way more than I thought I would...love that album....minus the Cannon in D song....the rest is really good. But that aside.....this thing hopefully leaks in 1-3 days

I like the NHQ album, but I understand why some of you might not.

I listened to it for the first time the other night. For the most part it was meh, but there were a few that I could jam to.
