normally i'd agree.. but if you were on the cruise and saw Hive during the 2nd set, you'd know that's not the case.

in fact, that set ruined Hive for me because out of the 50+ shows i've seen, it destroyed all of them

That was an Australian music show. I doubt it was screened in the US. From memory Chad broke his arm/hand surfing or skating (could be wrong). Maybe that's why they haven't been back since

no the topic of AS sounding tired compared to 97, i agree not only is the band getting old, but that song is losing it's flavor as well. Imagine saying the same words day in and out over every summer for 17 years. Sure they've added a much more elaborate drum solo and a few other bells and whistles, but its the same words. nothing will compare to the mid 90s in terms of energy, i'm just happy they're still together doing shit and really don't expect much more than that
