I never understood owning the songs in FLACS. Someone explain the main point to me.

It's for people who want high quality digital backups of their music. Just having mp3s isn't good enough if you one day lose or wear out your cds and need to make new copies.

BTW, it's prob pretty easy to find a tutorial on the net and rip the albums yourself.

Wait, if FLAC is lossless, how would there be a difference in sound?

Wait, if FLAC is lossless, how would there be a difference in sound?

I took his question to mean can you tell the difference between the sound of a flac and an mp3 (you can), not a flac and the cd (you can't).
