Question about avatar posting

I am trying to upload an avatar through iPhoto. The file is 37kb. When I try to upload, the forum tells me that all avatars must be no greater than 44kb. I don't get it. The measurement is 175 x 175.

then try it

what file type did you save as? i'm not sure why it would give you that error, unless iPhoto is lying about the size...

It is saved in a .jpg file. It's coming in at 37kb. I am going to try uploading it through a site then copying the URL. We'll see if that works.

Make sure the link is put in the "Off site avatar" bar in your profile.
