Zack Hexum - Request at Drive105

Post by $ayzak »

I'm trying to force Zack to send this little MN radio station a copy of "Met a Girl Like You Once" because it belongs on the radio, and it belongs on that station. Drive 105 is pretty much an underground station not owned by clearchannel communications, and they usually have awesome new acoustic music every so often, but lately they've been lazy and just playing 80's bullshit. Not that there's anything "Wrong" with 80's music, but come on, mix it up a bit!

So let's get this station aching for that single. Just quickly fill out a little form. Takes a few seconds.

All the members of 311 as well as Zack Hexum grew up to music in the 80's. If not for the 80's we wouldn't have 311 the way we know it.

I'm just sorry that music it's self had to go through such turbulant times to get to where... wait... most music still sucks like the 80's... maybe it's just the radio that started to majorly suck in the 80's... or was it the 80's that destroyed the radio??? Another reason to hate the fucking 80's god damn it!

Pop sucked in the 80's ... ... but it's alright .. it pushed most good stuff underground out of the mainstream... good music is underground now... growing and getting better than ever... eventually the underground will explode all over these pop pussies and the radio will be awesome again.

"Radio" the way we know it will never change. It's in the vast world of digital radio where the underground will rise up. Unfortunately, some desperate money freak will put a lid on all the ambishion and shut it down. And we'll be stuck with another era like the 80's where dozens of new artists will sell out over night. The next morning we will all awaken with too-sweet a taste in our mouths, weakened by the shocking jolt of our mental metabolism.
