Zack Hexum - Overground: What Happens Now?

Post by bbshorts »

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I was wondering if anyone had Zack Hexum's second album and could upload it to the audio section of TB. I know "Introducing..." is there. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Was Chad or Nick involved with any of his other work?
Other than the Hexum Bros. tour and this new side project coming up, I don't think they were. Zach did work with Drake Bell from that Disney show Drake and Josh, however.

I meant the second album Zach Hexum was involved with which is Overground: What Happens Now?

On his website, he sells it and lists it in his discography.

Poo. I am too cheap, lol. Maybe one day I will. I heard it's pretty good. I've been wanting to get into instrumental smooth Jazz music, but prefer to start with modern, accessible jazz. Zack's Introducing record had some 311 elements because of Chad's drumming, space funk riffs, and Transistor-like vibe.

You're too cheap? So you have the money to purchase albums but you choose not too because???

I stole music when I was a kid and simply couldn't afford to buy albums. Now that I'm making $$ I purchase albums from musicians I want to support.

So what is it? Are you too cheap or is it because you're poor?

Is it for sale on his site? I don't have the money now, but maybe I can save up in the future.

Smoke, are you still willing to upload it? You can use MediaFire.

I never knew he made this. One of the tracks from it is on his Myspace page. I just looked. He doesn't have Realistic Fantasy or Overground: What Happens Now? on his official site or iTunes. Even more reason to upload it.

By the way, is the album instrumental jazz like Introducing? or is it more like his later pop stuff?

According to this article, apparently the same band added an organist and changed their name to Qedrowan.

http://home.earthlink.net/~sleslie1/library.html

From the above site, they had a demo featuring these songs:

Always Us
Far Enough
If You Give a Damn
Tell Me a Story
The Broken
Trail

Does anybody else know about this? I would love to hear this as well! :)

I have the Qedrowan Demo mp3s. That playlist link with them listed is my dad's Earthlink personal web hosting space and that is list of my iTunes library from like 2004. I remember chatting with Zack Hexum on AIM in 2004 and saying that I preferred the Qedrowan version of "Tell Me A Story" over the Overground version. It's more trippy and spacey.

Wow, that is very interesting! :O That Earthlink site was one of the most useful results when I searched Google. I had to dig around a bit, but I found it. Thanks for the info!

Could you share/upload the Qedrowan mp3s for us? That would be great! :)
