Re: keane
I always considered Keane, Coldplay,Muse, and Travis to be sub-radiohead bands. Maybe because U2 reached its peak in the 80s and radiohead are the most innovative out of all the bands I just mentioned that do similar things, but then again you could also put Sigur Ros above radiohead because their album Agaetis Byrjun inspired Thom Yorke and co. when Kid A was being made (Kid A still being, what I consider their best album).
As for Keane, they are almost too sentimental or something. Is it Any Wonder fooled me into thinking I was listening to a Travis song when I first heard it.I thought I'd be into it as a friend recommended Under the Iron Sea. It makes me feel like I should be bopping my head at the Express for Men

Re: keane
Everybody's Changing is what hooked me...
... love that song... love that album really.
I don't really see the U2 comparisons... Radiohead only in the sense that they both at times are driven by piano and melancholic lyrics/vocals.
To me it's the melodies and the vocals that define them and make them great. The piano is the perfect compliment to the vocals.
Good band.
