yes it does! dbl nickels has been playing in my car stereo for about a month, on and off.. endearingly honest, brutally revealing with room to breathe and sparse production.. love it :)

are there any more records out there with a similar tone and sound to this one?

wow, thanks! that should keep me busy for weeks :bounce:

didn't 311 open up for em (fugazi) as their first gig? I don't know much else about them but luckily their whole catalogue is available on demonoid, lossless :D

that'll be the easy part tho, downloading... hard part's gonna be digesting it all, but i look forward to it :)

http://www.filestube.com/f/fugazi+mediafire" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

to find albums type this into google

"(band and album name):mediafire"

and you'll find a lot of shit for download on various upload sites.

finally got through it!

big black.. i'd like them a lot more without their cheesy 80s drum tones
mission of burma. good progressive jams. seeds of nirvana, foo fighters, system of a down, ..
husker du. perfect blend of bad brains and motorhead
the wipers. endearing hawaiian retro punk
fIREHOSE. true to minutemen spirit, but I do miss d boon at times :/
fugazi. Amazing in more ways than one. i can see why 311 would be so pumped to open for them

wire (pink flag album) - top tier, freaking amazing. i wish chairs missing was more like this and less like piper at the gates of dawn
100 flowers - i could only find the presence of mind 3 track ep, and that was excellent.. swirling psychedelic punk rock. i'd love to hear more
meat puppets - eclectic. some of it is like early nirvana with tamer drums. definitely hear their schizophrenic guitar solos coming thru in Kurt's songs.
saccharine trust - i heard paganicons and thought suckage. then i heard we became snakes, it's a lot more jazzy and interesting

have you seen this?

meh, the a-side is ok. if bowie wrote songs for the velvet underground, they'd sound like this.
