My wedding reception setlist

Post by antfarm311 »

Alright guys, the final countdown is on. In two weeks I'll be happily married and I'm unleashing the mix I made for the reception. NO LINE DANCING SONGS. I made that extremely clear to a majority of the guests and family members. It's a huge list, if you never heard a few of the songs just listen to a short clip and you'll think "Oh yeah, I heard that before." Over two hours of music and it was a pain in the ass. I had to keep in mind a few of the older guests (my grandparents and my fiance's grandparents/great aunts & uncles, etc.)

Jack Johnson - Better Together (this will be our song we dance for the first time as husband & wife)
Al Green - Let's Stay Together
Beach Boys - God Only Knows
Beach Boys - Sail On, Sailor
The Beatles - I Saw Her Standing There
The Beatles - Twist & Shout
Benny Goodman - Big John's Special
Billie Holiday - What a Little Moonlight Can Do
Blue Swede - Hooked on a Feeling
Bobby Darin - Beyond the Sea
Buddy Holly - Everyday
Cat Stevens - Here Comes My Baby
Chuck Berry - You Never Can Tell
Counting Crows - Accidentaly in Love
Dave Matthews Band - Stay
Dire Straits - Romeo & Juliet
Elvis Costello - Alison
The Faces - Oh La La
Genesis - Follow You, Follow Me
Genesis - That's All (Closing song, last dance)
Huey Smith & The Clowns - Don't You Just Know It
Jackson 5 - ABC
Jackson 5 - I Want You Back
The Kinks - Picture Book
Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie
LaVern Baker - Tweedle Dee
Louis Armstrong - A Kiss to Build a Dream On
Otis Redding - Hard to Handle
Paul McCartney - Maybe I'm Amazed
Pete Townshend - Let My Love Open the Door
Ryan Adams - To Be Young
The Specials - You're Wondering Now
Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the Middle with You
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Something in the Air
Tony Bennett - My Baby Just Cares for Me
Wilco - Walken
Wilco - Either Way

A lot of songs aren't "dance-worthy" per say; it's just good ambience that the guests will enjoy.

Hahaha, I knew you were gonna pick that one out. I do have a Specials song on there, but Sarah's got the iPod tonight.

Hah, that Jack Johnson song is a good pick. Hey, why not some 311?
