I think reggae will be the next big music...

Talk about your fave band or genres. Or plug your own band, whatever.

Reggae is at it's peak in many places. It's just misunderstood and bound for the gutter in other places which are dominated by other genres. Minnesota is all about rap in the cities, country in the sticks, and 80's rock pretty much everywhere else. I don't think Reggae will ever be huge in MN or in any state as ignorant as this god forbiddon place.

if reggae returns it will be nothing like the reggae where you want it to be. its going to be more like that new age shit, like sean paul and shaggy and fucks like that. where i live this kinda shit is always heard blaring out of car windows.

yeah, there's always been that hip hop/reggae hybrid. I'm sure there will always be that.

I think that the way Sublime did it is gonna come back around. The roots reggae like Bob Marley is probably gonna stay where it is. It's huge! But not so much commercial. Can you imagine seeing Bob on TRL?! HA! That would ruin the legacy.

There's just this feeling i've been getting lately about the new reggae hybrids.

There are some popular bands that have white washed reggae before (Sugar Ray, Sublime) and some bands that are just emerging with true Reggae.

But also there have been some one-hit wonders from the 90's of Reggae, but it didn't cause everyone to get into a reggae craze.

In my opinion I think a reggae craze would start at the beginning of summer and then end at around autumn.

Yeah this emo craze needs to just die. It's just a really bad trend, man I have a funny video of what an emo is. Gotta find it.

If Reggae became the so-called next big thing then that would be unbelievably awesome, and the music scene has been so depressing for a long time now that I have lost faith in something awesome like that happening, if it does than marijuana legalization would soon follow then we would elect a rasta mahn for President...that would be DOPE in more ways than one.

That would be awesome if reggae dominated the mainstream.

We'd see bands like Lojic emerge into the limelight. So you might as well get into them now so that you can say that you were once a fan when they were just a local St. Louis band.
