Looking like the Royal St. Charles. I'm anticipating drinking some beers with you, Tainted Nate.

Well, Vaux might be going with us as well... so I guess now we're looking at the Inn on Bourbon. I gotta get this shit locked up quick, otherwise we're gonna be sleeping in the car.

And if it's not Natty, then we're drinking Old Milwaukee's Best Light. Your choice my friend.

Thanks for the hotel rates link....I don't look/post on the 311 BB so I probably would have missed it~

After quickly looking at some of the hotels, i'm leaning towards the Iberville Suites or The Inn on Bourbon.

Where are all you internet people staying :O?

My two spots are The Royal St. Charles or the Inn on Bourbon. The Inn would be nice, but theres a shitload of people from the BB that have booked it already. My main concern is finding a place that won't charge my credit card till I get down there and check in... I think the St. Charles is like that.

I booked at The Queen and Crescent and they don't charge till I get there.

The goal is to get the closest hotel to the street and venue. They could fill up pretty quick.

I thought this at first too, thinking that I didn't have to worry about it until January or so but from what i'm seeing/being told, it's best to do it now and get it out of the way before prices go up and shit gets booked.

nah mean jellybean?~

I disagree. This will be my 4th 311 Day and each time I got crappy hotels. I'm not letting that happen again.

I called Thursday and got my reservations set for the Roayl St Charles. They don't charge anything till we check out, which is nice. Plus, the St Charles is just off of Bourbon Street, and I could care less about having a balcony or being directly in the French Quarter, since most of the time is gonna be spent at the bar anyways.

I also think I might check out that aquarium thats just down the road, maybe like Sunday or something. 8)

Initially the Inn told me they were going to charge immediately but I called today and they don't charge until you checkout or check in.

Yeah, if you call the number for the Royal St. Charles, it's actually the office number for the group of hotels they own, most of which are in the same general area.

I put in my reservations last week... $89 a night flat rate for the 311 Day group, Saturday-Weds and they assured me they don't charge until the day you check out.

I would definitely suggest reserving before too long though, cause most places will be fully by January.
