My two spots are The Royal St. Charles or the Inn on Bourbon. The Inn would be nice, but theres a shitload of people from the BB that have booked it already. My main concern is finding a place that won't charge my credit card till I get down there and check in... I think the St. Charles is like that.
I booked at The Queen and Crescent and they don't charge till I get there.CanesFan311 wrote:My two spots are The Royal St. Charles or the Inn on Bourbon. I thought this at first too, thinking that I didn't have to worry about it until January or so but from what i'm seeing/being told, it's best to do it now and get it out of the way before prices go up and shit gets booked.311Baybee wrote:its pretty intense to be booking already

I called Thursday and got my reservations set for the Roayl St Charles. They don't charge anything till we check out, which is nice. Plus, the St Charles is just off of Bourbon Street, and I could care less about having a balcony or being directly in the French Quarter, since most of the time is gonna be spent at the bar anyways.
I also think I might check out that aquarium thats just down the road, maybe like Sunday or something.

Yeah, if you call the number for the Royal St. Charles, it's actually the office number for the group of hotels they own, most of which are in the same general area.311Baybee wrote:oh man thats good to know, ive never been before so i def dont know how it goes... so there are def places that wont charge you until you check out???
I put in my reservations last week... $89 a night flat rate for the 311 Day group, Saturday-Weds and they assured me they don't charge until the day you check out.
I would definitely suggest reserving before too long though, cause most places will be fully by January.
