311 Day setlist stats

Post by Rtrock311 »

I posted this on the 311 bb, but I wanted to put it here too. Here are my calculations based on the setlist posted on the 311 site...it's what I remembered, and I was suprised at how little the blue album and Don't Tread on Me was played. There might be errors, but here are the numbers:

**NOTE: I lumped in everything that wasn't on a studio album as "B-sides" even though technically "Who's Got the Herb?" and "Tribute" are available on the Live album. Also, I didn't count "Are You Ready" as its own song, because it's really not. So that's why the total comes up 65 songs instead of 66, as on the setlist. And I'm done explaining.**

Music = 10 songs = 83.3% of album = 15.4% of 3-11 Day show
311 (Blue Album) = 5 songs = 35.7% of album = 7.7% of show
Grassroots = 10 songs = 71.4% of album = 15.4% of show
Transistor = 11 songs = 52.4% of album = 16.9% of show
Soundsystem = 7 songs = 53.8% of album = 10.8% of show
From Chaos = 7 songs = 58.3% of album = 10.8% of show
Evolver = 6 songs = 54.5% of album = 9.2% of show
Don’t Tread on Me = 3 songs = 27.3% of album = 4.6% of show
B-sides = 6 songs = 9.2% of show

64. Down (Dedicated to the Old School fans)

funny thing about curfew is there was plenty of us BSing in the parking lot after the show, not sure what a curfew does for any of that.....oh well, i figured it'd be best not to know what we missed, but alas, i clicked and read. the lack of the few does not outweight the many that were played, however there's always the 'what if' factor that plagues us all.

(anybody tell i'm taking an english comp class? big words 'plagues')

i asked some official looking fella at the venue, and he said they usually let the music go until 12:30-1am at the latest.

So maybe they had to have the crowd completely gone by 1 or something. but for real.. those 2 songs should have been played, as well as an encore to take the list to 70 songs.

I was thinking that since they're saying it may too much of a hassle to put the show out on dvd, that maybe they'd release it on a 2-3 disc cd. LIVE does not have an encore either...

what you talkin newb?

it really wouldnt be much trouble to slap that bitch on a dvd. They were cutting it up during the show like it was a live broadcast. Just slap it on a disc and make me pay $30 for it.

I could have sworn I read in other threads that Joan or management said making the last dvd was a pain in the arse or something and that they didn't want to do it again. I could have been dreaming though :P
