3-11 DAY PRE-SALE

Yesterday, Tuesday January 24, the 3-11 Day Pre-Sale was launched and sold out in one day, 4,500 tickets!!!

And of those 4,500 tickets - 48 U.S. States and 2 Canadian Provinces are represented!!

Only Hawaii and Alaska are not represented....and that's understandable considering 311 will play three shows in Hawaii right after 3-11 DAY.

Venue capacity is 8,500.
The Public On-Sale for the 3-11 Day show is this Friday, January 27 at 5PM CST.

I think it's a pretty cool announcement. That's a lot of tickets to go in one day, I didn't expect half of the tickets to sell in less than 24 hours. Glad I got my tickets! Does the presale usually sell this high a percentage of the total available tickets? Just wondering, because I have some friends who haven't gotten tickets yet (not 100% sure on whether or not they're going) and I was wondering how quick you think it'll sell out completely (after it opens to the public). I know that's hard to guess, but I never pay much attention to shows selling out, because I've always just bought 311 tickets at the door.

i can only imagine just a 8,500 seating venue with only 4,000 tickets left with buyers in 48 states in just the first day, will sell out very very quickly. 311 day dvd sold over 1,000,000 copies...

i would buy them the second they go on sale, cuz if not you don't wanna be kicking yourself in the ass when you go a few weeks later and they are sold out.

keep in mind tho, they send em to you a week before the show, so it may not be time enough to sell it

Why would you do that exactly? I mean, I guess you want to make money, but it's a little ridiculous. We're all 311 fans, trying to get tickets. If you buy an extra... I don't know whtaever, that's tickets that someone who really can't go can't get their hand son. What if they don't have a way to find you to buy the tickets from you? Then they can't go? i understand people doing that, but this is 311 day. It should be a positive atmosphere, not trying to rip people off.
