Now I was a bit skeptical when I first bought my iPod becuase I didn't think the quality was good.

Man was I blown away, studio quality I swear. Incredible.

I fucking love iPods, get the 30GB video one, I know you won't be dissapointed.

Too bad mine was stolen. :(

working at an electronics retail chain, i hate em. so many come in for repair, it's disgusting.

unless you absolutly want to fuck around with the video player, i'd consider some other brand.
I'm sure so many come in for repair because they are by far the most popular player. With a thousand times more out in the market, they are sure to come in for repair a lot.

I love my 30gb ipod color, but sometimes I wish I had gotten a 60 gb. 30 gb holds 5000-6000 songs. You might as well go for the 60 gb since you said you had 5000 songs on your computer. But dude, do you really have 500 cds in your cd case??

I donno now... I was gonna buy one today, and then I realized... Hey $450 after tax and everything is a FUCKLOAD of money...

I think I've changed my mind. Seems like kind of a waste... :?
I mean, yeah it's convenient... But is it 450-dollars-convenient? Doubt it.

I think I'll take that $450 and save it, and then start saving up for a sweet ass 40" or so flat screen HDTV.

A lot...
I said earlier something like 5,000 songs on my computer, and after re-evaluating, I'd say maybe 3,000 more in my CD case...

But still. Even if I'm going on this trip I can just bring my favorite CDs and a CD player.

And I know I could get a smaller ipod, BUT if I'm spending 300 bucks for a 30 gig, why not spend 100 more and double the space. If I were to get an ipod I would want one large enough so I would never have to worry about running out of space. (Atleast for a really long time).

And 450 dollars is a fuckin shitload of cash. I mean think about it. That's HALF A GRAND, just to listen to music. I like music and all... But that much?

Not really. I'm pretty cautious with expensive items.
I donno, I just think I would have some pretty massive buyer's remorse if I got one of these things.

Maybe I'll go check out this used-shit store nearby and see if I can get like a 20 or 40 gig one used for cheap...

There are other mp3 players that are a lot cheaper i think. I believe that I've heard that the iRiver player is pretty nice.

Just a thought....I've had my dell dj for 4 years going strong. Works great, much more durable than an ipod and price is a little better. Check your options with dell...

since i sold the iPod, i just use my trusty mp3 cd player. does the same thing, just a bit bigger. but when it comes to traveling, it's just like it, as it fits in my laptop bag in the cd player pouch.

Wating is smart. I currently have a 40 gig Photo from a few years back. I need a 60 gig because I have so much damn music now I have to uncheck an album worth of songs every time I get new music if I want it on the iPod. I was gonna go ahead and buy a new 60gb, but i have been reading about some possible new models in the works that will be cool, like bluetooth wireless earbuds and a screen covering the whole face of the player! I haven't had any problems with my current 40 gig, and I've even gotten into modifying the graphics and shit on it, still works fine. But it is the most scratched up thing you will ever see.
Bobby, You be quiet out there.
