i just got accepted into law school!

im so stoked right now. the university of kentucky emailed me today and said they've accepted me. im not sure if im going to that school in particular or not, because its only the 3rd school to contact me and the first 2 said no (though it was expected, they were both reach schools). but man oh man, knowing that my hard work as finally paid off and that im gonna be a mother fucking lawyer god damnit im so excited right now

pro tip, go to law school to the best school closest to where you want to evnetually live. the networking is invaluable, and if you go to some big name school and then move to a smallish town whre everybody went to state school close by they'll all know everybody and you'll have to work extra hard. i'll probably go to alabama for this reason. i've talked to peopel who went to vandy and yale and then moved back to birmingham, and they said it was pretty miserable. but then again, i'm not going to get into yale but if I did it would be hard to turn down. boston university just rejected me so the gf better not get into harvard or i'll be fucked

kyle, yea i've been told that as well. thing is im not sure where i want to live after college, and depending on the law schools i get into i might decide based on that notion. we'll see though, worst case once i've built a solid enough resume i can always move.

its actually not bad. a 94% bar passage rate, 76% employed by graduation, and 96% within 9 months. with a median salary of 60k for those in the private sector.

its not my ideal school by any means but if it boiled down to it and i ended up there, i wouldnt be disappointed in the least. hell if i wanted to transfer after my first year to a better school then this would be a great school to transfer from.

right now i only have one choice and thats kentucky. i've only heard back from 3 places and that was university of illinois, and a university of georgia both were rejections. but both were also highly expected due to my shit of a gpa. dont let anyone fool you, having a high lsat score isnt the only key...i learned that the hard way. i still have 17 more im looking to hear back from, and out of those 4 dont count really cause they were my backups like...im getting into those places no question.

Do not go to Law School unless its among the top 20 in that nation. My friend just graduated Northern Illinois Law School and out of 40 some grads who passed the bar only 2 have jobs and this is 6 months later. It's supply and demand there are way too many law school grads out there. Here's some advice:
